Dave Stroud is an American vocal coach, vocal educator, lecturer and the creator of DS Vocology which makes VocalizeU, a software for singers. He’s built a number of successful businesses including Hollywood’s Club DV8, the Speech Level Singing (SLS) teacher certification program, and Connecting Voices, a magazine for singers.He’s trained the participants of the American Idol tours and NBC’s The Sing Off, Michael Jackson on his “This is It” tour, and several artists on Justin Timberlake’s label Tenman Records, including Timberlake himself, Youtube star Esmee Denters, Brenda Radney, as well as Elliot and Free from Freesoul.
Dave has given countless lectures at prestigious institutions across the globe, including the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Stanford University, University of Southern California, San Francisco Conservatory, Palo Alto Research Center, Pacific Voice Foundation, Canadian Voice Care Foundation, Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, Kunstuniversitat Graz in Austria, and numerous other jazz organizations and societies including the Jazz School in Berkeley and Jazz Camp West.
