From her experiences on American Idol as well as being a professional singer, Leah Laurenti takes us on a journey of highs and lows and shows us she´s not “Backing Down”, just like her new song
After competing on “American Idol” for two years in a row (seasons 9 and 10), Leah Laurenti gained the confidence she needed to show even her toughest critics that her passion for singing was strong enough to overcome any obstacle. She returned to New York, found a few jobs, played local gigs and sang The National Anthem at Citi Field before a New York Mets game. On her charming and breezy debut single, “Backin’ Down,” Laurenti sets the lessons she’s learned about survival to music. The song came to her during a songwriting session with co-writers and producers, Frank Anselmo and Schuyler Deale.
